Best Password Manager, For Your Logins
RoboForm
We have made the decision to include Roboform in the list, even though its free version is barely usable because of its limitations. It is for instance only possible to store up to ten logins in the free version, which is not enough for most Internet users.
The software program itself offers an advanced functionality, comparable to that of Last Pass and KeePass. This includes every feature that those two clients offer with the exception of multiple identities. One unique feature that we really liked is the ability to configure domain equivalents, so that login information work on multiple domains. Helpful if a service or website is accessible under multiple urls. Great password manager, but unfortunately to limited in the free version.
Passpack
Passpack’s focus is different from the other password managing apps in this overview. It has been largely designed for multi-user environments. Having said that, it can be used by single users as well. It is an online service, everything is managed and handled in a web browser.
The free version supports up to 100 logins that can be stored in its interface. That’s definitely a better limit than the 10 of Roboform. For an online client, it offers a good functionality. It comes with importing and backup options, a password generator, secure messages, people network, one time logins and two factor authentication.
Clipperz
Clipperz is another online password manager. It stores login information and other sensible information in cards. The creation is difficulty in the beginning, as users have to pick a type of card and enter the login information in fields presented to them on the next page. It is possible to import login information from various sources, including KeePass, RoboForm and csv files.
Clipperz utilizes bookmarklets to create new online logins easier. Cards that are created this way include one-click login options.
PINs
PINs is an open source password manager for Windows. The application does not integrate well with web browsers, but offers a lot of other features that one expects from a desktop password manager.
