Gmail Support | Login Problems
Gmail, which stands for Google Mail, is one of the top email services on today’s Internet. With popularity comes the need to provide sufficient support for users who are encountering technical difficulties. Gmail Support is limited to getting help on the Internet. There is no phone number or address that you can direct your support requests to. You can either try the official help documents, post a request for help in the official Gmail support forum or send a message to Gmail’s Twitter account.
Gmail Support
The Gmail Help pages are your first and best option when you are in need of support. You find popular support related guides on the start page and a search form on top that you can use to find troubleshooting guides that help you with your support request.
The popular articles are divided into groups, for instance Your Account or Your Messages. The Your Account group deals with account related issues, from deleting an account to problems signing in or managing contacts.
Most topics listed on that page lead to another list of troubleshooting pages that address specific issues. If you click on Signing In for instance you get guides on how to sign out, stay signed in, loading issues or account recovery guides to recover a password or the account via SMS.
Top Issues
Here is a list of top issues that users may have when they try to reach Google support.

Cannot access Gmail account [link]

Google Mail loading issues [link]
The account has been compromised [link]
Just follow the links to reach the support pages right away. Some pages ask questions that you need to answer. An example is the the account compromised form which suggests different options to resolve the issue.
You can use the troubleshooting guides to fix issues that you may encounter while using Gmail. These options are faster than anything else that you can try to fix account issues. Sometimes however you may have a problem that is not addressed in the Help articles. That’s where you may want to consider using the Gmail support forum instead.
Gmail Support Forum
You can search the Gmail help forum right away to find out if other Google Mail users have had the problem before you. Chance is you may find threads and solutions this way.
The forum is divided into multiple subgroups, like Account Access, Composing and Sending Messages or Suspicious Messages and Scams. You can browse those forums if you do not want to search for answers, or post a question to get help.
Please note that you need access to a Google Account before you can post a message on the Gmail support forum. This can be problematic if you are experiencing account access issues. The only way around this is to create and use a second account to post the question in the forum. If you do not want to create a second account you can ask a friend or relative to post the support request in the forum for you.
You need to make sure to post your request in the right forum to increase your chance of a response. Google employees are regularly responding to support requests on the forum but the sheer mass of requests means that the majority of posts won’t get an official answer from a Google employee. The next best thing are answers from members of the forum who may have experienced similar issues in the past.
Gmail Service Status
Before you head over to the Gmail support pages you may want to take a look at the Apps Status Dashboard which displays status information about Google services. Make sure that No Issues are reported under Today’s Status for Google Mail.
If you see Service disruption or Service outage instead you may want to wait until the service is back up before you try and log into your Gmail account again.
You can open the Apps Status Dashboard here.
Gmail on Twitter
One of your best options to get support from Google directly is via Twitter. You can open the Gmail page on Twitter here. If you need support you can write a message to Gmail which may get you a response.
Google employees are actually responding to user questions on Twitter regularly, and even though their suggestions are often short and point to a link on the support pages, they get you a foot in the door so to say.
Gmail Phone Support
Some third party sites may say otherwise, but Google has been very adamant about the fact that they do not offer phone support for their free services.
We’re happy to help you, but we don’t currently provide phone support for our free services. If you haven’t found the answer to your question in our Help Centre, please visit our Help Forum where you can seek help from other users.
That support page is not mentioning Twitter which is the third possibility to get support for Gmail releated issues.
